Pig Hip Marker & Sign in Broadwell
An icon of Route 66, the Pig Hip Restaurant was open from 1937 to 1991 and served as a popular museum from 1991 to 2007. The building caught fire on March 5, 2007 and was destroyed. The site is now identified with a stone marker that tells its story, and a photo opportunity at the recently restored bright red sign that brought customers off the road into the restaurant. The remaining artifacts from the Pig Hip are located at The Mill Museum on 66 in Lincoln.
